1972 Alper, who was born in Izmir, started athletics at the age of 12. 15-year-old star broke the men's record of 50 meters hall Turkey. In 1989, AIX-LES BAINS of France represented our country as a national athlete in the European Champion Club Championship athletics competitions in Athens, Greece in 1991.

Alper is a graduate of Marmara University Physical Education and Sports and has been a manager and consultant of Athletics Coaching for many years. In 1996 he moved to Zurich, Switzerland. He completed the Balanced Body University Pilates training program in 2014. He settled in İzmir in August 2016 and opened his own studio under the name of Alper Kocak Pilates Zürich.
